20160730 Preparations for Housewarming

7/30

On 7/27 I had emissions done for camry solara convertible.
On 7/28 had the Title renewed for Solara at Forsyth county.
Had some fun time chatting/finding a cookware set by desi/telugu lady alone, move out sale, faked rakesh that
i went and saw her and paid $100 ;) , I actually found that she is beautiful telugu girl, alone, But had to bargain and
take small snack table and Cookware set for $110. She helped me getting that table stuff to car.
On 7/29 friday evening Previous owners vacated the property and we have complete posession, but due to the fact
that we dint worked with electricity/water connections power is down and we couldn't do much, we both went in the evening
and couldn't enter as we forgot to take keys with us, In the same community we saw a garage sale board and saw that at 8.40pm
kind of looking at almira/mirror set a huge one but thought to come back next day.

7/30, Chasity and us went to house at 11.30am went over for final walk through, find everything perfect! Old people maintained
home perfect. ice cubes part of fridge melted and water leaked, So chasity quickly rushed to her car and used a beach tower
to remove the water/moisture.  Hugs and bye to Chasity.
Went to garage sale guys 5785, almira thing looked old and many scuffs/scratches, So just took crib for ninnu $10.
arranged it in car and took that to house, I was in little rush and had one of the crib stand part touched hard wood and had a
mark, We both felt very bad for the mark/scratch, and that crib screw part broke as well. We peaked at house to see decoration plan.
Lucky said "No NO" to the crib, So i had to bring it back into the car and went to Garagesale guys and gave it back, $10 back.

In the afternoon, we all went to Sears, mom, ninnu and both of us, Got Kenmore Vacuum cleaner worth $199, used $170 worth of
Sears points that came with Washer&Dryer purchase. Gave Ross4less return of the bowl, Went to costco and got stuff required
for the party plates/tissues/ziplocks etc. and then had Gas filled in our new RDX. Got Dominoz pizza on our way back home.

Today, Naresh Soumya had their Function(Uyyala function), on their baby boy sumedh's 1 month.
in a big way, we missed that :(

7/31, Me and Lucky superbusy, picked Rakesh and went to Vivek flowers ordered flowers and stuff for 6th function, went to temple
to see ayyagaru, then went to wallmart, publix, dollar tree. and got back to hotel to hav quick lunch.
Then me and Rakesh went to Navrang, now digimax, Spoke to Sanjay mama, told about function, new car, new house
and house.  and discussed the plan for lunch items to be prepared by Peppers, Sanjay assured he will prepare the stuff eventhough
the cook and staff gets busy that day due to Freedom mela thing the same afternoon.
After long time/months, me rakesh and sanjay spoke and felt the memories of navrang bachelor fun and typical indian/telugu
associations lots tama/ata/nata/gats thing and wasting lots of money on fame and functions in US instead of any donations
charity in india. Then me and rakesh went to Public storage and got our stuff into the car, I dropped Rakesh at his place.
Met sarath, showed him the new car, and then we spoke about his busy schedule of preparing for Indian trip in 2 weeks and
getting the formal documentation ready for his stamping in india, and onward and return transportation till airport.

And this weekend Ninnu started talking more, this sunday he repeated our words almost the same way, for a amma, aa aavu, i illu
ee eega :) Incredible Vivaan, we felt a great joy listening to him :)

20160723 Epilupu for Housewarming

7/23..

Ninnu started talking to us, we felt like he is almost answering us in some way for what ever we are asking him.
He is trying his best to convey in different voice, stressing pausing at different ways.
Felt really great he is doing it in such a quick time giving us extra energy :)

We went to Rose4less and got a rice cooker dish, and a big flower art frame(someone trying to grab it and lucky found it really
good based on her artist instinct), lucky to grab it.
Went to Home Depot and made our first home related purchase which was 5 bricks.

I have prepared our own Epilupu for the House Warming event on 6th August, as soon as I got confirmation from Sriman ayyagaru.

Took half a day collecting contacting emails and sending evite to them.

20170717 Our first drive in SUV to northpoint mall

07/18...  DCU loan is approved, simple like a song... It required checking account opening and needs address proof,
But due to the fact we just bought new home and no address change done yet on bank account statement, or DL or utility bill,
they made an exception and accepted Home closing document.

And you know what, the best interest rate was offered to me @1.74%(If I have direct deposit from employer for monthly
loan payment).

07/17... Sashi came in the morning, as we both wanted to go to AcuraCarland at duluth to pick my camry solara convertible.
He wanted to go in my new car, But I said insurance formalities not ready yet for new car, said just becoz i dint wanted him
to drive my car, But he is typical man still wanted a test drive around our hotel so he did and liked it very much!

Then we went to AcuraCarland and he spoke about his and preeti's continuing issues and things to handle going forward.
Later On my return, I stopped at duluths carwash+emissions+vacuum center, Had spent 30 minutes in vacuming and got the glass
pieces out of the car and then tried to have emissions but it was closed.

In the afternoon, we along with ninnulu and mom went to Sears at 3pm, met Abid, took an hour to figure out and change delivery
date and process discounts, sears credit points, 10% discount and 15% friends and family event , which we thought could be done in
5 minutes. finally he gave us a great deal though. a huge discount over our washer and dryer.

20160716 Our First SUV 2015 Acura RDX for $32k

Special day...

Day started off with a quick breakfast milk with honeybunches, Then tried to find the Coin laundry for the 3rd time.
Got to know that the Gulf laundry actually is a laundry machinery shop, So fed up and texted Katie to know the exact address.
Got no response So started calling Rakesh, Sashi to find out and discuss the car options today, as I saw email from LouSobh guys
confirming the deal for $28000 OTD that is for 2016 new Honda CRV EXL with navigation that has $890 accessories.
The second option is that, I got call from other dealer for confirming the lowest deal for 2015 Honda Accord Sport for $19000 OTD.
Rakesh said better to prefer CRV 2016,against Accord sport 2015 as we get new and Leather & Navigation.

Then I spoke to Sashi, who discussed other options when I said I would like some luxury option, Then he spoke about OffLeaseonly.com
options where we saw 2012 mdx for $22k and 2015 RDX tech for $27k, I felt 2015 RDX tech for $27k is great deal so wanted
to check in local dealer inventory, So first thing came to my mind was AcuraCarland and Griselda.
So checked Inventory and found one 2015 RDX with Tech package listed for $29850 which has 29.5k miles on it. Then we thought
if we can negotiate that for $29k(we were anyway about to pay $28k for 2016 CRV not a luxury one).
Thats how I made a call to Griselda while I am putting laundry in hotel common place.
Griselda called me back once she checked the inventory for the car I liked and told me to come and test drive soon as they have floods
of appointments, that was at 11.45am.  Then I rushed and got ready quickly and got the laundry out to room. No lunch and started to
AccuraCarland alone, and reached there by 1pm.

Met Griselda and soon got to Test drive the car, I offered $29k and quickly upped my offer to 30k for which she said there is
new management and they dont accept the offer and she can't present that offer, Later her two different manager spoke to me
and tried to convince me for $33k, for which I finally put an offer for $31.5 without a confirm/confidence as I couldn't discuss
the complete situation with Sashi/rakesh. They hooked me for $300 extra for nothing but just extra fee Oil change coupon.
So finally I okayed for $31800 OTD. Then it took more than couple of hours to check credit, lots of documents signing
and manager Ricks discussion about Dealer products/services of Complete coverage, Gap insurance, parts/labour warranty sergice etc, for
total of rougly $3000. I was completely not sure and overwhelming with handling all this alone and so wanted to wait on this part.
Even after signed half of the documents when he said any small issue today on the drive back home I need to pay all gap insurance etc.
Still.... I stood on the same word, dint subscriber to any dealer  service/products, I even had to speak to Nationwide
Insurance guys on getting the quote and adding it to the current policy for $78 monthly. Finally I left Dealer at 7.30pm
Those guys had to stay late, a hug and thank you to Griselda, I even had to ask very basic things to her, about controls for
vipers etc, as I was exhausted, alone and have to drive the new car back.

First drive should be special, But not that great as I am alone handling a huge thing, But I remember this drive home.
Picked up lucky at hotel went to Hanuman mandir(walmart to get coconut), and had Vahanapooja by Sriman, Felt good as he himself
did the pooja instead of other junior, Remember their funny conversation that ferrari pooja was done by junior and Sriman
couldn't see the car.
Me lucky felt good with pooja and when we tried to have picture taken our batter is just below %5, So no pic! :)
But lucky covered some pics of the car by then already :)

Went into temple, had darshan, lucky came to temple after 6 months. Spoke to sashi there, Met Mr.&mrs. sandhyarani(office mate)
Sashi and other temple friend was looking at the car and felt really great for its mint condition and great color luxury car,
King koduru's bro,wife and kid passing by and saw the new car and said it was great luxury car and his wife(the Basics grocery fame)
funny talk that she couldn't identify Acura the brand, kid was overwhelmed and thinking this to 7 seater MDX. Felt great
when people praising the looks and the luxury brand car.

Headed back to hotel, Got ninnu and mom downstairs to parking and saw the car, dark already 9pm, couple pics, and parked at backside.
Then sent the pic in whatsapp groups.... Fully tired, couldn't believe that did the one important thing of recent times.
I have also texted the fellow who wanted to have my convertible solara for $1500 cash, and also checked kbb market price
for detailed condition of my solara after dinner. Kind of convinced that I can sell the car for $1500 to that fellow.

20160704 Ninnus first month... Car remedies

Today, I was trying to check how to fix the Car rear glass as well as Go and check for New Car deals 2016 CR V EX L.
Till yesterday I was checking for 2015+ Honda Accord and Toyota Camry deals online, But after Sasi and Nagaraju said better
go for CRV instead of Sedan's I also felt "yeah, why not CRV", But me n lucky were thinking that if we get Sedan now, we
can get big SUV like MDX later, it will be a good mix/combination.
Morning me and Mom went to Macfarland Laundry but its closed, So we went to gas station next to our hotel as I wanted quarters for
having washing machine and dryer at hotel. I just bought gloves for sake of asking more quarters, the old man gave change but
gave me $1 less when I gave him $20 bill. I realized and thought lets leave it, for the sake of old man and independence day :)... funny huh!

Later had Wash and dry clean for $2 each, and Lucky prepared Chicken curry with (wings we generally grill), As mom was not interested in
biryani we just had it as soupy non-oily curry :)
Later Katie came and stayed long, and this time she behaved, I mean washed her hands and told us she just had bath and clean legs too.
She took ninnu, sang songs, walked around with him, danced with him So I shooted video and took pics. She spend much time
to help lucky, another lactation consultation session, But it worked, a very good improvement.

I left at 5pm to LouSobh Honda, after checked the best deal available with Honda mall of georgia, But LouSobh guys closed for the day.
So took Duct tape at HomeDepot, 30 gallon trash bags at wallmart and Went to Hot breads to meet Sashi, Madhu.
Met Venkat there who came just in today to Atl from Chicago by drive as he relocated here. Me and Venkat went to Dollar Tree, got
party table sheet and scissors and started fixing the rear glass covering, Sashi Madhu joined and we are done fixing it,
like a 60%-80% better solution. Later I went to HHGreg to see the deals about Washing machine and Dryer.
Came home, Katie was there(her 2nd visit after I left) and happily telling me that there was great progess in latching.
Saw firewords from window of far places, and saw NY fireworks in TV, great!
and ha last couple days we have seen many bull ride competitions in TV and ladies bowling games as well. :)


As today, is Ninnu's 1st month - day, I took many pics and videos, But we(lucky told me as well) felt we do some Photo session in next
couple of days.

20160703 Moms first US fireworks show

Nothing much for the day, Just relaxed at hotel. By now, the 2nd day we are used to ValuePlace hotel.
Katie came again and spoke more and tried her hand on Ninnu as well to hold him, and also she helped and guided
lucky to help ninnu latching on(as if she is lactation consultant). As she hold him today, without cleaning her hands we felt
Katie is not good and wanted to avoid her next time.
Tried to contact Sashi's friend Ricky, the car mechanic to find out options for Car rear window fixing. Sent him text message and
multi media photo text. He couldn't get Pics due to high MB. But he tentatively said $250 to fix front & rear brakes n rotors,
and $500 for fixing Rear glass.  And when I asked if I get the parts, he can fix brakes $100 labor and $100 labor for rear glass.

When asked Katie casually, what are the plans for evening. and we are thinking to go to Cumming FairGrounds, she said its a youth place,
all college kids come smoke and drink and suggested to go to Wills park. Later found out that Wills event next day, and so She said
she will join us for today's Fireworks at Fairgrounds, when we said after 30 mins, she came and we said not now and lets go after 1.30 hr,
She came again at 7.20pm and we are set to go at 7.45pm, confused, we are checking for her but she already left, Met her at Fairgrounds.
She walked us through the park and to the other end where only 15% people sat waiting in a different direction for firewords,
Actually that was the correct location for this year , per Katie.

Mom had first Fireworks show in US, she enjoyed it, Felt we might get wet in rain but only drizzled and so we are good :)
We walke back to parking and reached home by 10.20pm, fireworks started at 9.30 for 20 minutes only.
By the time we are home, Katie already in our room. 

20160702 Vacated windwardPlace 12205

Woke up...tired, with half sleep..
Got MacD breakfast for us at 9am, Then Picked Rakesh at 9.45am and Went to Our apartment at 12205 Jefferson Creek Dr, Alpharetta GA
for handing over the keys, Loaded the heavy box which is pending move, went for trash and then met Michell at leasing office. Rakesh
surprised and dint recognized her as she put on in 2 years and had a different hair style. Gave her two sets of keys and a gate key,
Had my new forwarding address set. She said she will miss us, and said "Hi to ur beautiful wife and new baby boy" :)
As Rakesh was hungry we went to neibhouring Subway and we both had a foot long veggie pattie together, felt good for having subway
sandwich after soo many days. Dropped Rakesh at his place as they headed to Airport to bring their friend. I came home and had bath
and heavy lunch, so had a nap..
Katie came in for some time and spoke about how we are doing.... bla bla...
After she left, I have prepared egg fried rice which was very plain, lucky felt it like "talimpannam" :)
Done for the day.

20160701 Ninnus first day at hotel

Crazy hectic day that has twists and turns, and much physical and mind work out.

Woke up and did nothing for packing as almost everything looks done,(But you know its never done completely, there's lot pending which is miscellaneous.
Got ready for office, couldn't get sweets and reached office. Office looked half empty as people are on long weekend vacation. Pinged Suguna and asked her to come to pantry,
as I dint want to tell the good news in IM. So I told the good news that we haved closed on our first home the previous day. She smiled n said congratulations, She also said that they also paid advance on the same day
for a new contruction home which may begin construction soon,($380k and 40k upgrades).
When I told her about our situation of moving stuff to Public Storage, she came up with a brilliant idea that Y dint we tried to ask current owner to have one bedroom for keeping our stuff, or atleast the garage to keep the stuff for this month.
It sounded so simple and I felt how come we dint get this idea, and It could have been much simple to put this request the day before on Closing table. So I just tried to check this option and so asked Chasity to check with Seller for which
she said she can only check with seller's agent but not directly to sellers, I wondered.  She came back saying they said No to a bedroom, as well as for garage space.  Then I called up Fred directly and tried to convince him with my detailed request.
He tried to find out how much stuff we have for move, When I said that we have limited stuff of 1 bed, 1 sofa and other stuff in package boxeds of around 8 - 10, he said we can work it out and I told him I will be there at around 5pm.
Felt relieved, felt thanks to Suguna for the idea. The other truck(fox trucks) guys called up at 2.30pm and said they may come in some time, I said that you guys supposed to come by 4.30pm, Later I confirmed them to come by immediately around 3.20pm.
In the morning, I went up to Nawaids desk for review of the recent development that I promoted on wednesday. and I told him the good news, When I said I'll be getting sweets on Tuesday(MOnday Independence day holiday July 4th), He said "Hey bring it on wednesday the 6th as their
Ramadaan last day fast will be on 5th tuesday :)
Then I spoke to keerthi of the good news and moving situation, he said we can hav move stuff in his apartment but he was not comfortable with the roaches in his house at this moment. I left office at 3pm(Reddy on vacation, Nawaid left early for the day, So lucky to leave early :)
Later got to know from keerthi that management called off for early logoff for holiday weekend. Truck guys got confused and they finally came around 4.45pm, I just picked up Rakesh from his place and within 30 minutes we are done loading all stuff into the truck and left to our new Home 6050 Overleaf Ter, Cumming GA 30040.
We are there within 30 minutes, Met Fred, he helped moved one of his garage car out, Later Nancy came in smiling(though we are sure she dint like the option of putting our stuff there) with water and ice.
Fred tried to tell that we can put stuff in some space showing a vertical level for which the truck guys settled the belongings exact same way and in a smart way. we are done within 20 minutes, Fred asked me to come inside and took me to upstairs to office room and checked with me that if we are ok leaving
the Iron heavy file case drawer, I said its ok we can keep it. The truck guys dint have change for $200, the charge is $168 So I told them lets head to gas station and get the change. For an instance thought and Rakesh also said lets give them $200 with the tip, So yeah I gave them and they are happy :), left saying "please give
review and refer friends.   Relieved as We could fit all the belongings in garage, as we were not sure if they agree for complete stuff to keep in the garage.

We headed to home, picked up the Pizza and chicken nuggets on the way at Domino's. We were then decided to leave some stuff at PublicStorage, and tried to throw trash at trash box and a computer table as well, So I opened the convertible car roof to put the table,
and you know what "Big blow", the rear glass broke!
we dumped the table and headed to PublicStorage, then I realize it was broken. Felt like "aah omg what a thing happened at wrong time!", I sounded not much worried but Rakesh looked worried. We dumped belongings at PublicStorage, I cut very minor in my right hand palm with the broken piece.
I dropped rakesh at his place for him to join his friends to go to Airport pick his friend.
Me, Lucky and Mom streched beyong physical stamina in finishing the packing remainings to take them to ValuePlace hotel.
Before that Me and Rakesh went to ValuePlace, checked in and got the keys.

I have filled up the car with stuff and went alone to Hotel, to add more spice for the evening I dint find luggage card at hotel front desk area, hotel oncall guy tried to help me checking in cameras to know who had it in their room, There I found Katie, a high school kid staying here for a while, who told me all things about the hotel,
how it works and whom to check for and helped finding the card and helped putting all the stuff out of the car and till putting them in the room, later Had to call Sashi to pick Lucky and Mom from home to hotel.
By the time they arrived, me and Katie moved the last trip of stuff from car to room, She gave all the instructions how to operate the ac/locks/room, and suggestions on where to get grocery, washer/drier, kitchen utilities, how to reach short cut route from gas station, what not ..Sashi just felt she is a hotel associate :)
Man... kid is so helpful and good at heart. Then sashi left and I reached home, took an hour to get remaining stuff together and into the car.
Me and mom also exhausted and get into the car except a big carton box. Reached hotel by 1.40am. Lucky dint have water also, but poor girl did things set right and feed ninnulu and slept on bed.
She had light food, me and mom also had bare minimum food, and We slept at around 2pm.

20160630 ... Really? We are just closed on "Our first Home in USA", hard to believe :) .... AND.... Naresh-Soumya got baby Boy...

Though we dint feel at the moment, this is a very special day to remember, as we have closed Our first Home in USA.

We woke up at 7.30am, Got ready by 9.30am and headed to Suwanee to Meredith Shearer Co. attorney's office for Closing of the property "6050 Overleaf Terrace, Cumming GA 30040" as a buyer.

I had a quick cereals for breakfast, I made pesara attu for mom, and I made omlette for lucky, had cold rice and pickle ghee for lucky in box along with omlette for her bf which she had in the car while we are on our way to Closing.

Reached there by 10am sharp, Met smiling Chasity and her friend/partner(she is damn hot, she was getting hotter hour by hour....revealing her cleavage etc.) both ladies came prepared and looking just sexy on their short skirts.  And Sellers also smiling old couple talking about their kids, previous florida stays, their 8 old home purchases, how Bank/UW guys miscommunicate on same things which they could taken care of simple way. They are having coffee/cold drinks kind of enjoying...We dint have coffee or anything... I was a bit nervous/tired, Am I buying the house, taking any risk? Am i paying most precious savings..? etc. was in my mind.

Tried to kill time by talking to agent about how it went with process etc, and with buyers about problems at home, about lawn, community events, family kids, etc.
Ninnulu was soo good, but we had to stay for 4.15 hours, which we dint expected, It happened due to UW/BoA had issues with 0.75 chasity's contri to closing etc, Mom came outside for having dosa's in car, One time Lucky came out with ninnulu to change his diaper in car. we kind of exhausted but Sure closing is on its way.

Finally, signed many documents, lucky also as we have added her to title. and got the cheques to everyone, and there we go  Chasity and her sexy friend gave filmy poses with "SOLD" board with us, that sexy lady almost brushing against me... and you know what,  Chasity took a video of interviewing me about my experience with her and how things helped, and what I suggest any first time home buyer.

Took couple of good pens and notepad, like everyone did.. Gave hugs, byes, smiles :) everyone left very happy.. But we left "ok - ok", kind of hungry and exhausted,   busy mind with things to catch up, it was 2.15pm and I have to go and complete registration at "Public Storage" by 3pm, and be at home by 3.30 as truck guys may come by then.... So couldn't really enjoy the moment "Of we signing and closing the home", So on our way back, in car Lucky took a small video with ninnulu about this, He had his first ride in car seat while he was awake :),

Things happening in brisk speed, I had to go get the Pizza for so called quick lunch, But truck guys called and said they r coming by 3.30pm though we asked and tried to convince them come by 4.30 pm or later. Then I had two bites of pizza while I was driving back.  and lucky had couple while she was feeding ninnulu, Mom had one and she had rice. Then me , mom struggled to pack bed parts with fragile wrap packing.. then hurried to pack boxes, sofa boxes with heavy duty plaster,
I have decided to take truck guys and go with them to Public storage to register and store before 5.15(as they need us be there 45 mins before they close). But it was 5pm and truck dint come and they were not reachable and non-responsive, So I left to Public storage to complete Storage formalities, this is my first time using that service, On the way called up Rakesh and asked him to take his friends help to drop him to our place as there is no one if truck comes while I was at Storage. John at Public storage was humorous and took time and made this process pleasant , gave me cylinder lock charged $20, made me take insurance $11, and one month storage for $25, total of $65.

I came back, but "2 Men and truck" is no where to find, So we all smiled at each other, including me rakesh, lucky and mom, So tried other truck option, finally booked other Truck guys for tomorrow 4 to 6pm for $170. Then we had tea, copied memory card contents and gave Rakesh our Canon T5i DSLR as he wanted it to have his roomie Rakesh's photography(Same season last year also he took for his photo session for probably marriage matches, and same repeating now :) )
I dropped him at his place, and went to HomeDepot, Returned tool kit which we used for Bed-unassemble, Only used one rench, and other lights, Then got 2 extra-large carton boxes.

Came home and mom prepared egg-tomoto curry and rice, Had full meal as we felt hungry and exhausted.  Shared our good news to Naresh on our way back home from Closing..

and While I was writing this blog at 11.30pm, Lucky is like "Yeah lets call naresh and see what they guys are doing, as if they joined hospital etc", Ok.. she called up, and you know...
Naresh talking in low tone, as if his manager was by his side :), and there comes the Good news "we are in hospital and delivery happened at 9.45pm and it was C-section", for which we said congrats, and kind of "expected C-section" ... then we said take ur time, we'll talk later as u might be real busy, he said both are in observation etc.

So Day started with a "Big thing about to happen" and  we are done with the biggest event of our life "Closing on our First home in USA",  and finally ended day with a Great news "Naresh- Soumya had a baby boy",

What a perfect day to remember :) :) :)

20160629 One day to "Closing on first home"

Knowing it will be a busy day, went to office, dint do much work as expected to test my code changes for july and Nawaid OOO,

Checked couple options and booked "Two men and truck" for tomorrows move for 3.30pm - 5.30pm.

Crazy happenings, UW still reviewing funds availability/identity etc, Tom helping them clarifying.
Chasity following with me and tom , kind of worried if things are in place for tomorrow, Got to know Karen(sellers agent) left a very bad email to Tom this morning, So everyone is on toes and worried as to make sure to close tomorrow,  Finally at 2.30pm Got to know we are good to close, but not sure on numbers yet, But I am planned at 3.30pm bank visit(dint tell anyone, just keerthi and Alex), met Tom spoke about closing tomorrow and how busy they are and about numbers not finalized yet, and completed wire by 4pm(an approximate higher side estimate $28,800(after $5000 earnest money, 2000 sellers contri). came back to office and finished the testing off and sent the two emails.

Chasity and everyone relieved that we are on schedule for tomorrow's closing, but got to know Chasity/Tom/UW working late till 10pm on our file correcting some, and clearing the confusion with 4th amendment etc.

In the evening got Rakesh at 8pm, went to Homedepot and got tool kit, and then had bondas tea. Then we have disassembled the Bed and TV,(On sunday we have unassembled Sofa and spoke about his probable car purchase and plan of savings out of his earnings etc), Easier than we thought, i mean Bed disassemble.

So, we are finally set to close tomorrow, I took off tomorrow.
and also scheduled to move.

One more Bigger twist to add to the happenings, like adding flavour,  Rajesh called up at 2pm and said his friends home rental option is called off as they informed leasing office for sub-lease which was denied straight on face, any dumb knows that happens, A...holes we felt as situation justifies.
So in the evening tried to look for sulekha etc, but at 3pm, I have booked and made a reservation for 30 nights, 1st july to 31st july at ValuePlace Alpharetta for $1880 approx. which is a double bed, a room with kitchen.

20160628 Getting closer to "First home - closing"

Getting too close to "the closing day" for first home...


woke up at 6.30am and all of us got ready by 7.30am and reached the property by 7.55am, for final walk through, we scanned through all rooms, garage, hall kitchen etc. Found couple things, a nail kind of thing came out of halls ceiling, and kitchen exit doors built in blinds control isn't working, So he started opening and fixing it. we are done in 40 minutes and headed back to home, on a refreshing breezy good morning.

I met Tom at 9.15am just to touch base about wiring.
Then went to office, LaShontay call me up for my personal details verification and she was trying to hand over the file to Closing team, but EOD got to know she/underwriter still looking short of reserves in my account and some questions around my deposit 7800 last night from chase, I sent her details and latest chase statement document. So things got postponed to tomorrow " for final numbers".

during the day clarified some details to Tom/LaShontay about title, and inclusion of lucky to title , her full name and to be added as "husband and wife" etc.
Another important thing I did today is to finalize "Movers" for our move from 12205 Jefferson Creek Dr, Alpharetta GA 30005 to Rental house in Jonhs Creek. I have scheduled '2 men and truck' on 30th june, 3.30 - 5.30pm.

In the evening spoke to Rajesh/Parag about Rental house, when can collect keys and have a look at it, But Parag dragged it and said next day we can meet(looks like he was busy).

20160625 Saturday... packing begins

lazy mornings, woke up at 10.40am, had a quick n light breakfast, and then started checking with July stay option, tried to ring Rajesh and to confirm if they are ok, But couldn't contact him immediately... Then we have got to see the last nights cradle ceremony pics, and share them to Manam group and atlanta friends. .  Had heavy leftover foods as lunch ;) Then we saw a good movie "Nava manmadhudu" a good tamil-telugu dubbed movie starring Dhanushh samanta and ami jackson... Liked it very much.... Meanwhile Rajesh confirmed that we can rent for July and asked me to come by and see this evening.

So got bath at 5pm and with mom went to Suvidha... picked up some vegetables and chicken/mutton. Then tried to reach rajesh and then spoke to anil to get his home address.. later me and mom went to see the basement rental option.. we liked the spacious than expected overall, the hall and kitchen space along with single bedroom(no ventilation),  spoke to them for some time and left home.
Me and lucky started packing, so its started with clothes, strolleys/suit cases. Then had dinner and off to bed.

Had to contact karen(chasity's backup) for sending me amendment, and I have signed it and let sellers do the rest of signing.

Felt really bad for not making happy neither mom, nor lucky,  felt sorry and helpless for the situation.
Couldn't command lucky for what ever I want her to be, only due to her lifes most unpleasant and most important thing dint happened, the trouble/discomfort she has gone through the pregnancy and partly due to her mom/parents not with her in USA, and at same time my mom couldn't do all the things that her mom can do.    I cannot deny whats my mom feels about, which is genuine and true, But I know how it feels like when everyone is right in their aspect and I am the only one who is almost resposible for letting it happen....  Iam kind of failure here, though most happening things are happening and on my way...     Its ok, its karma.. I need to drive through it and handle it.

In the evening captured some clips of ninnulu's variety of expressions, so cute and adorable :)

I forgot about two things to mention: 1) my dream, 2) gifts unpacking.

Unpacked all gifts , ninnu almost got $160 worth of gifts , which we thought of as a very small casual event. But felt great for dearone's wishes.. :)   Dearest guests in the order of arrival,  Prasad chandu Swati aadi, sarath bhanu, anil madhavi samanyu and his nanny, sashi rakesh, madhu.

and the very tight sleep in the night... i got couple of dreams, one I can remember of was about balayya visiting USA and our city, and somehow I was helping/co-ordinating his part of that schedule, letting him coming into the theatre at right time(not when interval period or at some break), some one handed over me a bag saying "balayya ordered that fellow to give pending dues, some lakhs , a fellow movie artist, and later balayya dint wait till people go inside and started running in the ground, trying to catch items on the puzzle kind of ride/game... usual balayya instincts. I spoke to him, and his main assistant, I was worried if they ask/or If i had to mention that I am not a fan of balayya, or If I mistakes about his past movie or diologue during any conversation we might have.

20160624 Ninnulu's 21st day Cradle ceremony

Busy day..... fully occupied...
Last evening started with decorating the hall for ninnu's cradle ceremony....
Morning made sure some of the balloons are on the ceiling hanging with strings of 3 colors. Then I hurried to Office...

Not a busy day at office, almost nothing except tried to test that TIP server promo responses from crtcFeed, keerthi was off so joined other boys for lunch.  Nawaid came to see us before lunch clarified questions for testing, then asked me to come with him to his cabin on next floor, and he said hi to nupur(who relocated to Atl from Jersey along with his husby nishant manager), So he introduced her... she is pretty..in short skirts....  Then evening also nothing much testing, waited to finish team meeting at 3 to 3.30 pm by subbareddy, to tell some bahana and leave home.

Saw BoA status online and got to know that the possession on 31st july is actually more than 30 days after closing on June 30, so it would be treated as commercial property, So I had to initiate emails to Lashontay/Tom/Chasity/and her proxy.  Finally emails floated and by the evening they are about to prepare amendment But they wanted verbal agreement for them to stay till 31st July 8am.

I told reddy that i need to work couple of hours from home, and when he asked is it urgent I said wifie not feeling well and I need to get her medicine from CVS enroute. Then I left and reached BoA to meet Tom by 4.08pm( had appointment at 4pm),  Excited to see if there is any opportunity to rate change to a lower, as I see today's BoA is 3.25 instead of 3.5, But Tom explained that is with 0.9 points which is almost $2800 cost to me. Later he assured if rate falls below in next 3 days he would change rate to a lower one.. and explained couple other things about closing and wiring instructions.

By the time Im out of BoA at 4.50pm, I have got my phone signal back and I saw lucky sent whatsapp message to Orlando group saying "party cancelled for today" and sarath responded "ok",
Then couple of things went in my mind in a second and so I dont want to make a call to lucky , instead want to rush to home and see what is the situation .... "Did lucky and mom had any arguments", or Did lucky was too unhappy for anything she felt helpless with lots of work to catchup for the party arrangements for this evening, not sure what else that is troubling her and us eventually.

So as soon Im home I had to face her heat and kept quite, Got to know that she tried in whats app and normal call around 25 times, with no response and still ringing,  and telecom sucks... none of them I see as missed calls, neither in whatsapp and voice calls.  But u know, she is not in a mood to listen..
anyway I got away with that..... and started sweating it out putting all balloons arranging tables etc, checking and feeding ninnulu.. and soon Prasad, Chandu, Swati and Aadi arrived( I just fixed the last balloon of the day)..  They got with huge toy gift pack from toysrus, Then Bhanu and Sarath arrived, followed by Anil madhavi, then Sashi and Rakesh, and then finally madhu..

Whole event went like hussle bussle.... as I am tired and no rest for a second whole day.. but still to catch up with the event, So outside I did everything to make sure eveyone is received well, Whole time they were here ninnu kept sleeping.  We felt at some point its too getting late and ppl are hungry..  Lucky was not at all looking great in her saree and her dress, main reason she was restless and sweating...  I had some videos captured where asked everyone to wish ninnulu with their message, and intro video and preparation video, Getting into cradle...etc...  At times, I searched for correct person to take hold of camera to capture pictures, So I had to call rakesh/sarath/bhanu/anil to capture pics at different times, So hungry but couldn't grab food, as I offered food to lucky she denied saying I shouldn't eat per ritual this and that.... So even I dint had ... so pissed of(i mean too much hungry and dint eat)......... Later had chit chat with rakesh/madhu/sashi....  joined bhanu for some time, then joined swati and chandu for sometime.... I felt like "something boring overall happening, may be I am not fully present".  Rakesh gave gift card, anil got some toys/gift, bhanu got some gift pack..  Sashi got big red tomoes from his own farm/backyard, so good :), later he went back and got more small tomotoes  how nice, This morning tried to text/talk to Preeti to invite but she said she is not ready yet and need sometime to meet us.

After all left, fully tired , felt like hit the bed, but this lady ....man she is stubborn in cleaning up things, and still she says not feeling hungry... So I pissed off as she is not eating and started cleaning up,  So though I am getting sleep, I started carpeting all two rooms, and when she asked me to set that dining table into bedroom, thats when Iam eating finally.  I told her "never interrupt while eating" its not a good manners, and then I had to woke up 2 more hours cleaning up along with her... .then had to take bath.. and finnally after 3 more reminders she had some food, and then I gave her regular medicine which she took.


So signing off the Ninnu babulu 21st day, a busiest of its kind,,, but felt great as everyone came and wished him and gave him lots of gifts, and we are able to treat them good with good food and lot decoration. :)

20160223 Ninnulu Home loan approved

Felt very disloyal and bad about windwardplace guys as they couldn't do any favor in getting ledger corrected or add a note saying that one late payment happened due to auto-pay closed with previous lease.. As soon I came out of leasing office at 9.25am, I felt like flooding online reviews batting on their service to valued tenants... will do it for sure, after 30th june, dont want to mess anything to online or financial profile this week..

Tried to reach Chris to know the car renewal premium with closing rental insurance, but he still dint come back to me.
Chasity confirmed for 8am final walk through on 28th with sellers at the property.

Finally got to know the Loan approval thing happened yesterday, But got the loan disclosure document this morning, I reviewed and checked with Tom in email about the differences and got to know they are just good-faith-estimates and may change on closing table.
When I asked him about rate adjustment if market have better rates, he said he is keeping an eye on them and so told me to meet him next day if i can, So set up to meet at 4.15pm friday tomorrow.

Checked online hotel options for july stay at ValuePlace and ExtendedStay.... the cumming basement option guy Rajesh told me he would check with other tenant option who may stay longterm.

In the evening , went alone to all shops for tomorrows "Craddle ceremony" for our Ninnulu.
costco bananas/milk/spoons/alum foil trays/...  Vivek flowers tamalapaku(beatles) for $3 , 15 and flower boque for $4. then headed back home, and then left to PartyCity to get some decoration stuff and at RossforLess a couple small handbags for ladies, met madhu and suresh at ross.

Then at home exhausted decorating baloons and strings hanging at dining room ceilings, had food, parallelly had some good movie "Nenu sailaja"

20160622 Ninnu new-home

Ninnu - Evening he was crying little bit as if he was disturbed... tried to soothe ..walk around ...feed him.... after all of these..... still dint help...
 u know ... changed his diaper.... all settled :)

Lucky was saying it was she who got his nail bites first time :) some days ago.
and when he was 5 days old lucky was the reason for him to kind of hurt and had tears in his eyes...

in the evening we both got him wipe bath, and also shampooed head.... :)


And, at 7pm, I went to check at hotel Valueplace to see whats the deal for a monthly, i see for 60 per day incl tax.  We thought to go for it if we dont get any option in a day or two.

Then after dinner I submitted Sulekha request for all of the ads I see.
you know what at 11pm, got a call from rajesh who has his basement fully ready with kitchen/bath/ac etc. and that too in Anil's community.. felt great! (if it works out, great for $800).

20160621 Ninnu Newhome

Ninnulu:  He started saying somethings as if he is talking kabhi kabhi, said ummm to ammmamma over phone. and  He kissed me on my shoulder first time :), lucky to feel his first kiss. Its so special, that Lucky felt jeolous of me.


Office:
Suguna followed up about whats happening with rental home hunt, told her about today's and yesterdays options that came in for basement rental in individual homes for around $1000.
yesterday saw one option,but that doesnt have kitchen and for $1000 per month
Today got one option which has kitchen but no laundry, So owner suggested it will be bad choice considering new born for basement temperatures etc.

New Home: Worked over emails, followup with Tom, around 20 emails, about why underwriter still has no update, later comes up with same "shortage of $780 in reserves", then i blasted out big email asking what actually it meant, how is it different from last week and what we can do to mitigate it etc, or transfer funds from indian bank etc, later Tom comes up with an idea where asking me to summarize assets in excel format, for which I did and responded by 1.40pm and later he gathered all info and forwarded it to underwrite, later when I asked for update he said he may get update by evening or tomorrow, Later I see automated email saying the initial approval step completed and now waiting on final confirmation step, I sent an email about the same of which one is pending on me.

Chasity communicated over emails that we need to schedule final inspection before close, so on 6/29, she asked me if 12 noon works for me, I asked her to check option of 8am to 9am, She said she is checking with sellers for 9am.

Misc: Mom and me went for a quick "returns", gave waist band return at UPS, then returned mangoes, canola oil at costco, got check drumsticks at costco, then returned SLR tripod at wallmart, got apples, forgot to bill and about to leave, but yes remember and used the wallmart giftcard which just got from store return.

Yesterday, spoke with Soumya about what happened on Sunday when they both came to balaji nagar to see the new bought house for them as soumya's wedding formality katnam, unfortunately(they think) he saw her mobile of the messages from me  in "manam" saying "dont worry too much, no need of extra decoration for house before we give it to them, or no worries even if he says no to the house. later she said he told her "inform ur bro that he dint like the house and see what ur bro says", for which she herself replied after a day saying "bro said if you say no, stay where ever u like".

"Friday the 13th".....Contract almost signed...

Day 4 of the "Get my home" process, counting from the day I saw the listing on website, thanks to the lady "Aly Thomure", she is the one reason behind catching sight of this home,  When she was following up with me if I am interested in homes, via email, I hesitantly said yes I will look into it, when she asked me did I follow her listings email, I said yes, but can you filter the homes near exits 11/12/13, for which she sent a listing on same day. The very first one I see in that listing is the home I liked instantly(Ofcourse I liked both 6050 and 6085 on Overleaf Terrace Cumming GA 30040.  Then shared with lucky in whatsapp, she liked it as well, Thought of seeing the home same day(On 10th May, very same day Chintu got superb news that he passed X class with 7.5 grade..hoohoo :) )

Then checked Aly's credentials and found nothing great, then I just left a message in thumbtak to Chasity Tillman with the address and asked to show the hoouse, to which she immediately responded and she could get appointment for us same day, me lucky and mom went, I thought 6085 would be good, as it is East facing huge lavish master bedroom, living level bedroom and 4 full baths for 300k, But also ok with the second house we saw which is 6050 for 280k, which does not have living level bed and 2.5 bath only, but backyard is pretty flat levelled , better that the other one,
Lucky liked this one as kitchen/living area are too good.


So today, nautanki took turns, they came back with asking Earnest money 5000 instead of $2800 and changing contingency period 15 instead of 25,

At middle of the day, I lost hope and message lucky asking "Do you think we get this home, for which she says "Why not", pakka.... then i told the latest twists for which she say "ekkkuva chestunnaru ga"... Then whatsapp with sashi told all the drama going on here and asked him to pray ;) "kannaya choosukovali, and hanuman ji also", asked him to pray, He said I did good research...

Finally at 10.30 chasity sent me contract with 5k advance and June 30 closing and July31 occupancy with 2k at closing.

Interestingly after it came to my hands, I said, "Can we wait till morning, as it is "Friday the 13th"..

for which she said "ok"


We saw Oopiri movie in TV while this was happening in the evening after having Mirchi bajji, and finished with dinner Ragi java + Sambar :)

5/12 Progress on day2... finally singed the contract..

Couldn't sleep properly whole night....thinking if we could grab the offer out of competition...
As we heard that someone also outbidding us.

Had a fun moment before leaving office,  quizzing/take-a-guess with Mom and Lucky, Both said we might get this offer and lucky asked "what if we get it, what will be my gift?"   cute lucky :)

Things moving fast..... looks like :)....

As soon I reach office, got a call from our agent Chasity Tillman that Our offer is accepted against others but not completely, They went back and forth..
Instead of 286 buy and 5 in closing + 1 year bumper-to-bumper protection + fridge
They agreed for 280 buy, No closiing, No bumper-to-bumper, But refrigerator included.
Then I spoke to lucky and Mom, we kinda liked the deal, thought it could have been tougher on price.

But later they said, instead of closing in June, They could close in July but not sure which could be based on their new home hunt and probable deal they gets on their way.
Later they agreed for 2000k occupancy payment for July if they close in July.
Later they said they will close in June and stay for a month there and pay 2000k
Later they said they found one home and they are closing that in mid July, So confirmed that they need to close ours in July only, and they only add 1000 to closing(not 2k)...Em chestam demand...time meedi sarele (still Im happy for making our way to this)....

During the day, I almost did nothing at work, luckily nothing much load on me today. So used this time to spread the news around for opinion and suggestion, Sashi said "dont wait and dont think too much, Go for it!",   Anil also said good deal and spoke about some mortgage steps, Informed keerthi, Brish.     Lucky had some tough time with mom asking many questions about what will be interest on loan, will it be ok for managing monthly etc...lot many for our level of curiousity or concern.  She could withstand and only could share with me..my cute lucky :)

After Im home I clarified many questions for Mom, tried to be patient enough on here... I am still to improve in this area,  I should never raise my voice or harsh in telling/explaining things to Mom.

On the other hand, I checked about CRV 2016 EX-L deal and conversed with Lou Sobh Honda at Buford, and confirmed with them for 7.15pm test drive appointment(they said the deal will be 27.9k)

In the evening Contract thing makes more turns and they said, Instead of 1000 earnest money, they need more. So our agent tried to settle it for 1500.
Later got to know that they are getting other buyer deal for same 280k and no refrigerator and no closing cost.   So we were asked to pay 1% which is 2800 earnest money instead of 1000/1500.
And also they said they will give only 21 days for Financial contingency, loan approval and underwriting.

This is where we thought "really?,let me check"... So called and mailed to lender Brian Gillespie(First bank's ConsumerDirect Mortgage), he clarified it can be done in 35 days, later he said he could do it in 25 days considering memorial long weekend.  Then I checked with naresh, Anil also about "can it be done in 21 days", for which everyone said its not a big deal, it is fine to accept.

Later we convinced listing agent for 25 days... later Chasity prepared contract(after several revisions) for 280k deal and 1000 closing contribution for closing on July 26th 2016, with 25 days for financial contingency and approvals.

Finally we thought for a second, that our case will go on positive side and will not be that hard in reach this 25 days deadline.
At around 10.45pm I signed the conract online, and agent informed me that she will get their approval the next morning, till then "never know what happens"... She said "I will contact you mid morning, may come up with "Congratulations you are in the contract!"

Lets wait and see, more or less It will be accepted.

So in this process we had to cancel our CR-V test drive appointment, though lucky and mom got ready(felt sorry for troubling them a lil bit). Before that Lucky called me shows little boils on tummy, and before she even say what happend, she cried out loud, I could see she is most worried about our ninnu, This is called Love, or may be the disturbing thought of what will it be if she gets some viral/flu/etc.  But Iam sure that is nothing to do with us :-) Stay positive.

Later when we get on to the bed, Lucky wanted to call her mom and said to me.. "go and write your blog".. There you go!, I jumped happily and noted today's happenings.. want to get back to "me varma style" of regular in writing/diary/blog ....

Our First Offer put on a Home.... Stonehaven Pointe at Cumming GA

Today, we have a landmark event of signing a Offer for a home listed in Stonehaven Pointe community which is really good located in Cumming GA 30040.

Me, Mom, Lucky and Sarath&Bhanu had a walk through at both houses 280k(west) and 300k(east)..

We finally decided to put an offer for 280k, but as there are couple of competitive offers/bidders we got to know, We have been suggested by our agent Chasity R Tillman that lets offer for 286k and ask for seller contribution of 5k on closing..

So we did that, thinking whats going on.... feeling "what an awesome if this deal struck!"..

then battery died, both our mobiles in car, Went into McDonald  ...had burgers french fries and cool drinks....

after an hour reached home, saw agent's emails, signed buyer agreement, then signed offer.

Lets c what happens in next couple of days,
Home hunt will come to an end?(if our deal accepts), Or others will beat it or need to re-bit. Not sure
fingers crossed, lets wait and see, (I feel 75% positive chances), I can bid 5-10k more to get it(lucky and mom dont agree to this..i think ;) )


yesterday we got good news that Chintu cleared 10th exam with 7.5 grade(An achievement to our entire family ..could say)...

Our ninnu might arrive anytime soon after a week, to 3 weeks ..yeaaayeeeh :)
